Imperial Commander is shock Cheltenham Gold Cup Winner.....

We all thought it was all about Kauto Star and Denman.  But Imperial Commander completely turned the tables today at the Cheltenham Festival, winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup by seven lengths.....

Owners beware.....we have been made aware of instances of horse thieves 'marking' their chosen animals by placing a small plait in their manes.  Please be extra vigilant - if you notice one of these 'marks' then contact the authorities at once.


Bedmax launches new fuel from waste woodchips…..

A new fuel has been launched, using the by-products of horse bedding.  Hotmax fuel briquettes are made from the left over dust and wood chips.....

Riders briefed about London 2012 plans.....

Riders in Britain's teams have been 'fully briefed' about Greenwich Park as the equestrian venue for the 2012 Olympic Games, and will be kept in continual communication as plans progress.....

Burghley Horse Trials announce shorter cross-country course.....

The cross-country course at this year's Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials will be about 600m shorter, and run over a reduced time of approximately 10 mins and 30 seconds.

Giant White Horse to greet visitors to the South of England........

British Dressage announce changes.....

British Dressage have announce changes to their tests for 2009 affiliated competitions.  6 NEW tests are being introduced:

Introductory B (short arena), Introductory Freestyle (short arena), Prelim freestyle (long or short arena at discretion of organiser)

Tests to be withdrawn from affiliated competitions from 1 January 2009 are:  Prelim 17, Novice 32, Novice 33, Advanced Medium 86
